A television reports revealing sales scams at a jewellery stores in the country could damage the city reputation as a shopping destination for tourist as reports by a tourist official. The reports which alleged that a chinese tourist had been sold with a fake diamonds, follows a spate of complaints that unscrupulous tour guides were cashing in on a flood of mainland visitors.

The chinese central television claimed that the tourists buy a diamond necklace, worth about HK$16 thousand and a diamond watch and later the diamonds jewels proved to be only glass. Others members of the tour groups also complained of being stung in other scams in the similars ways.

This sort of reports can only harm the country reputation and saying that the incidents were being investigated.
